Haystack Mountain is one of the tallest mountains in Southern Vermont. The trail to its summit is 2.4 miles long. Just below the summit is a unique high elevation pond known unimaginatively as Haystack Pond. The mountain, trail, and pond are all owned by the Vermont State Forest.
